On the original index page I listed celebrities by the order in which I first discovered a kinship with myself. This was, however, before I realized how numerous and how recurrent celebrity kinships could be, and how confusing and unrevealing a list format could get. I have therefore changed this page to list the celebrities alphabetically by surname, with a number to denote the order in which each celebrity was found and a separate discovery-chronology listing. Each pair of common ancestors is denoted with (F) to show that I trace common ancestry on my fathers side, or (M) for my mothers side. Finally, these pages include an explanation of the tables that represent each notable lineage.

| The son has monopolized the fathers three names and with them reputation. There is no need to lower it for one Holmes in order to raise it for the other. The justice had an enormous and beneficial influence on the law and deserves well of his country on constitutional issues. But he can show nothing to justify attributing to him the same power in philosophy and literary art. |

The tables on this page were created for the purpose of showing my degree of kinship with each notable. The sources listed at the bottom of each entry are those sources I referred to for the specific purpose of extracting that notables lineage, subsequent to the ancestors I have in common with him or her, and vital information.
Although I do not include my own lineage from the common ancestors forward, I did add kinship designations for relatives in each generation of the notables descent. Initially this page did include my own descents, but now I leave them out because that information is, after all, adequately outlined in my other pages. Also, I realized that I was only using my descents as a demonstration of the kinship, and that the latter could do without the former.
This presentation involves the use of several symbols that may appear unfamiliar; so I have created a guide to them. The symbols are listed in the order that they will appear in the table:
In addition, there are several titular abbreviations (Dr., Dea., Capt., etc.) sprinkled throughout the tables. These, however, should be recognizable without my explaining them.
